Part One: Create your Wiki
1. Go to www.wikispaces.com 2. Enter your username, password, and email address in the “get started box” and click the get started button. (Note: Please use your school email address to register for this site). 3. Go to your school email account and confirm your address by accepting the invitation to wikispaces that was sent to your email account. Create a New Wiki 1. Type in the name of your wiki (please use your first and last name) 2. Select the “Protected (free)” in the Wiki Permissions section. 3. Select “K-12 Education (Primary and Secondary) in the Wiki Type section. 4. Click create
Part Two: Post your assignments on your wiki
1. Read the instructions for posting on your wiki page. 2. Create a new page for each assignment you post on your wiki page. 3. Enter the title of your work as the page name. 4. In the tags section enter the assignment title. 5. Click create. 6. Repeat steps 3-5 for each of the following assignments: first poem, copy change, open poem, figurative face, 55 fiction.
Part Three: Create a “linking page” on Mr. Wright’s wiki page
1. Go to the Wrightclasswiki page at: http://thewrightclass.wikispaces.com/ 2. Click on the “new page” link to create a new page. 3. You will be asked to submit a request to the wiki organizers. Enter your school email address and check your email for the approval message. 4. Work on your 55 fiction story while you wait for Mr. Wright to approve your request. 5. Return to the Wrightclasswiki page. 6. Create a new page: Enter your first and last name as the page name Enter your class section in the tabs section 7. Cut and paste your wikiblog address on the new page.
